This week is an unconventional update. I want to apologize if anyone was hoping for a new page; but I thought it would be better, this week, to tackle all of the miscelaneous "problems" that have cropped up in the first 51 pages. Regular updates will resume next week!
I know a lot of artists and writers get to a point where they ahve been working on a project long enough to be dissatisfied with their skills in their early pages, and want to start over. I promise that I am -NOT- going to do this with Imaginary. However-- Because of the work I have been doing on the story over Thanksgiving, and the re-reading I have done, it came to my attention that Cassandra's character was being misrepresented throughout most of the early pages.
Instead of a proper update, I worked during my free time every night this past week to step through all of the early pages and rework Cas' dialog to match her character, and update her artwork. The Cas of pages 1-14 should look a bit more like the current Cas. The changes are thurough, but it helps the readability and flow of the story a lot, and takes out uneccesary dialog. This is something I may do from time to time- (every 50 pages or so), just to make sure I am keeping things on the right track. About 25 of the 51 pages have been rewritten, and I'd ask that anyone interested in reading the comic review them and post your feedback on the forums.
Again- regular updates will resume next week, and I hope that the rewrite will help make the story flow more consistently, and, in the end, make Cas a more interesting character.
Cheers,
